The Optimist motto is
"Friend of Youth"

The aims of the Optimist club are to work with and for the betterment of the youth of the community. We provide donations to the local schools to assist with scholarships, sports and various activities that encourage and assist the growth of the children. We participate in fund raising to assist local charities such as Interfaith Community Council, Wilmot Family Resource Centre etc., the Multi Use Recreational Facility (MURF), as well as the Children's Hospital in London, Sunshine Foundation and Optimist Gailbraith camp for kids.
